Anime Figures

I started collecting anime figures in late 2007, and I do so at a very slow pace. I'll add more figures as I document them.

I might just nuke this page when I'm done with this fund-killing hobby.

See more pictures on flickr. I may do normal photoshoots if I ever muster up the resources. Here's some explanation for what I have above:

  • Stereogram requires you relax your eyes' focus into the distance while looking at the stereographic image on your screen, so that you "see double," and then adjust your focus until the closer halves overlap. You're doing it right when you are staring at the center combined image and there is a peripheral image to the left and to the right, which you must ignore. The resulting image should appear 3-D, or more 3-D than the individual images.
  • Spinview is my proof of concept for a 360° view of a figure that I realized by taking photos of a subject on a turning platform, and using javascript to rotate between images. The idea is not new, nor do I claim it to be mine, so feel free to also do this.
